Ordinands

The Fund exists to provide grants to candidates, to train for the Ordained Ministry of the Church of England and of churches in full communion therewith. Applicants must be committed to the traditional catholic understanding of the priesthood and episcopate.

General Grant

The Fund provides a grant on an annual basis for ordinands whilst in theological training. The grant for this year is set at £567. Candidates wishing to apply can do so through submitting the following online form. (I have attached this below).

Ordinands who are awarded a grant may apply for a further grant in each subsequent year of pre-ordination training. Beneficiaries are asked to send an Ember Card to the General Secretary so that the Trustees may pray for them when they are about to be ordained.

Exceptional Grant

Where Church of England ordinands who fall within the Fund’s remit are undertaking academic study during their training for which the Church of England does not cover the costs, it may be possible for the Fund to assist. An approach should be made to the General Secretary by their college or course principal in the first instance.
