The Fund funds placements on pastoral assistant schemes for potential ordinands who are undertaking such a placement as part of their exploration of a vocation to the permanent diaconate or to the priesthood. To fall within the terms of the Trust, the placement must be held at an institution approved by the Trustees.
Such applications must:
- be made by the parish priest of the parish concerned
- include a statement of the institution or parishes most recent accounts
- be submitted before the deadline for applications
- include details of the candidate (including an assurance that the candidate stands in the Anglo-Catholic tradition within which the Fund was founded)
- include an indication of any other grant-making bodies to which application has been made in respect of the candidate, and of the outcome of such applications, where known.
Successful candidates are expected to provide a written report towards the conclusion of their placement.
